This map shows the layout of Bearathlon 2018 at the Berkeley marina. If you are familiar with Bearathlon, the layout has changed from previous years. Our transition area is now much closer to the swim exit. Additionally, our bike course has changed.
The swim start and finish are located at the Windsurf Launch dock. Transition and the finish line are both close by.
Please be mindful that all areas and paths between areas, with the exception of transition and the finish line, have not been roped off to the public. Please do not leave personal belongings completely unattended.

COLLEGIATE CLASSIC SPRINT
The Collegiate Classic Sprint triathlon combines a 750 meter swim, a 3-looped 20 kilometer bike, and a 2-looped 5 kilometer run. This is a non-drafting event.
Events
- 7:30 AM: Wave 1 (Men) Begins.
- 7:35 AM: Wave 2 (Men) Begins.
- 7:45 AM: Wave 3 (Women) Begins.
- 7:50 AM: Wave 4 (Women) Begins.
Collegiate Classic Participants:
- To sign up for this event, participants must be university students and members of a collegiate triathlon club.
- Waves are capped at 40 participants.
- There will be no limit to the number of athletes that a collegiate team may bring. Registration is first-come, first-served.
OPEN CLASSIC SPRINT
The Open Classic Sprint triathlon combines a 750 meter swim, a 3-looped 20 kilometer bike, and a 2-looped 5 kilometer run. This is a non-drafting event.

- 8:05 AM: Wave 6 (Men) Begins.
- 8:15 AM: Wave 7 (Women) Begins.
- 8:20 AM: Wave 8 (Women) Begins.
Open Classic Participants:
- The Open Classic sprint is intended for community triathletes of all ages; collegiate racers are encouraged to register for the Collegiate Classic Sprint.
