DESCRIPTION:UC Berkeley’s 2018 Bearathlon is being held again at the Berkeley marina at 201 University Avenue\, Berkeley.\n\nThis map shows the layout of Bearathlon 2018 at the Berkeley marina. If you are familiar with Bearathlon\, the layout has changed from previous years. Our transition area is now much closer to the swim exit. Additionally\, our bike course has changed. \nThe swim start and finish are located at the Windsurf Launch dock. DESCRIPTION:The HERS Breast Cancer Foundation’s 5K/10K Run/Walk and Community Expo brings hundreds of breast cancer patients\, survivors\, and supports from all over the Bay Area. Gathering for fun and exercise\, we rally family\, friends and neighbors to raise funds to benefit survivors. The money goes to support our programs\, which provide specialty bras\, prostheses\, wigs\, and lymphedema garments that help women heal and feel whole after breast cancer treatment. With your generous donations\, we are able to provide their products and services regardless of a client’s ability to pay. \nIf you would like to donate or become a fundraiser for this great cause\, please click here.\n\nCourse ~ Both the 5K & 10K are scenic runs through the packed gravel trails circling through Quarry Lakes Park. Please note that the course is not USATF certified. The distance has been measured and is approximate. No bikes or skateboards on course. DESCRIPTION:Great American Hero 5k/10k/1 Mile Obstacle Run 2018\n\nAttend September 9th\, 2018. Check-in is at 6:30am. \n\n\nDo you have ATTITUDE? BRING IT!\n\n\n\n\nAmerica unite! Bring your teamwork and all you’ve got this September 9.  Run for your country\, your hero\, in remembrance of someone\, or just to support all those hero’s that keep us safe both at home and abroad. \nOpening ceremonies begin at 7:30a with a 21 gun salute\, taps by the local VFW and the Star Spangled Banner. The 10K run begins at 8:00a\, followed by the 5K waves and a 1 mile kids/family wave beginning at 10a.  Following the completion of the last 5 k wave our Military\, Veterans\, Police\, Fire\, Sheriff join in our Victory Mile Lap as we salute you for  all your efforts to keep our country safe\, then the ladies of Quilts of Honor will present 10 military heroes with handmade quilts by volunteers. \nCompetitors!  Over 40 obstacles to challenge your fitness! Walls\, Climbs\, Weights\, Crawls\, Jump\, Run\, Swim\, Slide and Carry your way through the course.  NEW THIS YEAR.. by popular demand we have added more challenging obstacles to our 5K course. \nGAH is the first obstacle run with modified obstacles for ALL fitness levels. 5K & 10K courses with varying levels of obstacles at each site. The 5K & 10K start out on the same course traversing obstacles through the nature trails with varying terrain. As the 5K runners head for the finish line\, the 10K takes it up a notch for an additional 5K of intermediate/advanced obstacles.  10K runners will cross the lake (safety rope across lake for less than strong swimmers)\, run through the center island manuvering three advanced obstacles\, swim ( or use rope) back across the lake and out the gate to the levee for some of nature’s grueling challenges before finishing up with one more lap around the lake\, over another series of obstacles and to the finish line. \nBy popular demand\, a 1 mile kids/family obstacle fun run has been added!  Run\,duck\,climb and crawl through the muddiest 1 mile course around.  Ages start at 4yrs.  All participants of the 1 mile will receive a finishers medal and event shirt. \nChip timing for official finish times. \nSpectators are FREE and encouraged to come and root on their competitor.  Bring a chair or blanket and COME for the RUN and stay for the FUN! \nEvent benefits Semper Fi Fund and Ride 2 Recovery.  Additional donations may be made online during registration. \nEach participant will receive a custom tech event shirt\, swag\, raffle prize ticket\, a custom event finishers medal\, and one FREE beer (over 21). SUMMARY:DSB Mountain Bike and Sprint Triathlon 2018 & Kids Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Online Registration | Directions \n\n\n\nShow the world what you’re made on in our seventh annual Dirt\, Sweat\, and Beer Mountain Bike Sprint Triathlon. It’s perfect for families\, co-workers\, beginning triathletes\, and those who just want to have fun! This event is open to all levels of athleticism. Compete as an individual or join as a group. \nThe race will start off in a 400 meter swim in our clean\, 78 degree private lake. You will then exit the sand beach and transition to a 11 mile bike trail traversing along the river levee and through a working ranch on hard pack\, loose gravel\, hills\, and uneven ground. Enter back into the second transition for a 3.1 mile trail run along the scenic San Joaquin River with varying terrain\, hills\, and habitat. \nAll participants will be chip timed for precision accuracy and all finishers get official DSB finisher medals!  In addition\, special awards will be given to each age decade three deep\, teams  and overall first place finisher male/female. \nAll participants receive a race bib with timing chip\, an official tech race shirt\, finishers medal\, 1 FREE beer (over 21)\, post race food\, raffle ticket and a unique course! \nNEW THIS YEAR!:  We’ve added a kids tri.  Ages 11 and under ( minimum age 4)  100 yd swim\, 3 mile bike\, 1 mile run. The morning includes a vendor expo\, fitness experts\, massages\, a recovery zone\, superheroes for the kids\, and a chance to win great prizes. Let’s salute to an active and healthy 2018! \nWith your support\, we hope to raise $60\,000 to help St. Joseph’s Cancer Institute bring the latest advancements in cancer fighting equipment to the Central Valley. \nCourse – Easy\, flat\, double looping 5k (3.1 mile) route through the beautiful University Park campus. There is one aid station with restroom access. \nFees – $35.00 by January 12\, 2018 ($40 thereafter); $10 age 12 or under \nEntry Fee Includes – Custom t-shirt\,* swag bags\, post-race food and entertainment\, and a chance to win great prizes. \nAwards – Overall male/female winners will receive a custom etched glass trophy (no masters). Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age division (19 and under\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70-79\, and 80+).
