DESCRIPTION:Merced Gateway Sport Fest will feature a Sprint Distance Triathlon\, Duathlon\, Aquathlon\, Aqua Bike\, Kids Tri\, 3.0 Mile Run and a Kids’ 1-Mile Run. Truly a day filled with events to statisfy everyone!\nCourses~\nSprint Tri – 400 yd. swim\, 11-mile bike\, 3.0 mile run\nKid’s Tri – 100 yd. swim\, 2 mile bike\, 1-mile run.  Complete Kid’s Course stay on the grounds of Merced College.\nDuathlon – 3.0 mile run\, 11 mile bike\, 3.0 mile run\nAquathlon – 400 yd. swim\, 3.0 mile run\nAqua Bike – 400 yd. swim\, 11-mile bike\n3-Mile Run – 3.0 miles\nKids Run – 1.0 miles \nAwards~\nKids Tri/Kid’s 1-Mile Run– Overall male/female  All participants will receive a unique finisher medal.\nSprint Tri – Overall male/female.  Medals 3 deep in 10-year age groups\nDuathon/Aquathlon/Aqua Bike/3-Mile Run – Trophies to overall male/female.\nAll events must have a minimum of 12 entrants or award category and depth are subject to change. \nAll participants receive~\nCustom T-shirt and post race refreshments. \nRace Day Sechedule~\n7:00 am – Check-in and race day registration opens\n8:00 am – Kids Tri and 1-Mile run start\n8:30 am – Start all other events \nDirections~\nNorthbound 99:  Take “G” Street exit.  Turn right on “G” St. to Yosemite Ave.  Turn left to the college on right.\nSouthbound 99:  Take “V” Street exit to “R” St.  Go left to Yosemite Ave.  At Yosemite Ave.\, go right to the college. \nREGISTER ONLINE\nMAIL-IN APPLICATION

SUMMARY:Mount Diablo Challenge 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Mount Diablo Challenge is a timed road bike ride to the summit of Mount Diablo. Mt. Diablo State Park will be closed to the public during the event to provide participants with a safe course to ascend and descend the mountain. Recreational riders are encouraged to set a personal best for the climb while competitive riders attempt the ultimate goal of finishing in under one-hour. Since maximum effort should be rewarded\, a collection of great prizes awaits top finishers. Plus\, a selection of other prizes and goodies will be awarded to winners in 16 different age categories. The oldest and youngest riders will also be recognized. \nBack by popular demand you can form or join a team! After you register as an individual Road Bike participant\, you have the option to create a team of at least 4 riders.  Each team can compete against other teams for the best combined time up the mountain. To make a team during your registration\, create a team name under the “Event Questions.” Next\, indicate whether it is an all-male\, an all-female or coed team.  Then\, choose whether your team is in the “Teams/Club” or the “Friends/Family” category. Finally\, tell your friends to look for and join your team when they register. You can have as many team members as you like on your team but only the top 4 finishers’ times will be used to determine the “combined time” for your team up the mountain. Note that the combined time for coed teams will be determined by the time(s) of the first 2 men and the first 2 women on your team to cross the finish line.  You will have the option of starting in the same wave as your team members. If you select this option\, you will be placed in the wave that corresponds to the slowest time registered for all of your team members.  If you do not select this option\, you will be placed in the wave corresponding to your individual estimated time. \nThis year’s entertainment and vendor expo will be held at Monte Vista High School. After the ride participants and their families are invited to enjoy music and food while the winning riders are recognized. Turnaround time at the top of the mountain will be quick so that riders can enjoy the party.
