DESCRIPTION:Roanne’s Race Mission is to raise awareness of colorectal cancer as it occurs in people under age 50\, and those of all ages\, through an annual 5K/10K and kids run. Roanne’s Race is inspired by the life of Roanne Cairel. \nRoanne’s Race response to COVID-19 \nThe health\, safety\, and peace of mind of our participants is a top priority at Roanne’s Race. As such\, the Roanne’s Race organizers have decided to change the 8th Annual Roanne’s Race to a virtual event. While we are thrilled to be back on colorectal cancer awareness month\, we are disappointed that we cannot all support this cause together on race day as we’ve done since 2012. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the\n9th ANNUAL\nDELTA HARVEST RUN\nSeptember 13 – October 31\, 2020\n\nAt this time\, the race committee determined that in the best interest and safety of our community is to offer the Delta Harvest Run as a Virtual event.  This benefit is organized by the Delta Association of Realtors Community Service Foundation. \nProceeds from the Delta Harvest Run support East Contra Costa County food banks/pantries\, shelters and the funding of college scholarships for our local high schools.\nVirtual Run Courses – You can run from anywhere. Your favorite trails\, locale beach\, around the block or even in your living room. \nSuggested Course Maps:\nHalf Marathon \n10K \n5K\nFamily Fun Run\nResults:\nTo be illustrated in results\, download the ITS Virtual Race App where you will find step-by-step instructions to upload your time/results. As we emerge from dealing with our individual situations and inconveniences\, it’s essential to recognize how the pandemic has affected sex trafficking victims.  \nVirtual 5K – Choose where and when you walk or run – on your treadmill\, around your yard\, through your neighborhood\, or at your local park on October 10-17\, 2020. Its purpose is to promote fitness\, build community and raise funds for the educational programs of the SSCF. DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, we have to postpone this event till 2021.  Please check back for future updates. \nWe are so excited to host another running event on beautiful Mare Island! All finishers 21 yrs and up will receive a FREE BEER thanks to our major sponsor the MARE ISLAND BREWING COMPANY! We will have a Half Marathon\, 10K and 5K courses taking you through natural and historic sections of the island. We will be starting from the Mare Island Brewing Company coal shed location\, running through over 100 years of Naval history and natural beauty\, with a finish line party at the Mare Island Brew Co Coal Sheds! \nOur Half Marathon course will take you through the historic naval yard along the east side of the island\, to the highest point of Mare Island for beautiful views of the Bay\, Mt. Diablo\, and Mt. Tamalpais. It will then run you down by the Old Admiral housing including St Peter’s Chapel (with the largest collection of Tiffany stainied glass in the West!) and out to the sweeping views of the Mare Island portion of the San Pablo Bay trail on the western side of the island. The 10K will take you by the Old Admiral housing and the San Pablo Bay Trail before heading to the finish. The 5K race will run by the Old Admiral housing before heading to the finish. \nAll participants will receive a tech shirt and finishers medal. Awards will be available for Male and Female of every category. We expect to have categories of <20\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60+ \nShirt sizes will only be guaranteed for registrations prior to September 1st. Any registrations after that will be on a first come first serve basis on the sizes that are ordered. This event may sell out and day of registration is not guaranteed.
