DESCRIPTION:5K / 10K & Fastest Mile\nJuly 1 – July 11\, 2020 \nThe City of San Ramon has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and reviewing recommendations provided by the State of California and Contra Costa County regarding large community events.  At this time\, the City of San Ramon has determined that it is in the best interest and safety of our community to offer the Run San Ramon 5K/10K & Fastest Mile as a virtual event.\nThe 2020 Virtual Run San Ramon presented by the City of San Ramon and Chevron is celebrating its 28th consecutive year and we can’t skip this Independence Day Classic! What better way to get a healthy start to your July 4th than running or walking to create a stronger community!\nRace Information:\nEnjoy a 5K\, 10K\, 1 Mile route of your choice and post your time online between July 1 – July 11.  The run can be completed wherever you are located\, please see route planning and course options below for more information.  Post times and pictures through the ITS app to receive your completion certificate.   More information provided upon registration.\nRace Gear:\nAll participants will receive the following special virtual run edition  commemorative race gear:\n\n\nShort Sleeve T-Shirt\n\n\nRace Bib\n\n\nFinisher Medal\n\n\nThe 2020 Virtual Run San Ramon gear is a must have addition to the Run San Ramon collection.   Participants will be mailed their gear within four weeks of the completion of the event.\nFees:\nVirtual Individual $40\nRunners will automatically be entered in the 5K\, 10K\, and 1 Mile distances and can choose to run one\, two\, or all of the events.  A separate bib number will be generated for each distance upon registration.  Runners will use the bib number for the distance they are participating in to post their completion time.\nRegistration:\nRun San Ramon Social Media:\nLeading up to the event we will providing resources to assist with training\, route planning\, current safety precautions for running\, and information from our generous sponsors.\nFollow us on Facebook and Instagram for some Virtual Run San Ramon Fun:\nFB: /citysanramon\nIG: @CityofSanRamon\n#RunSanRamon\n#VirtualRunSanRamon\n#RunAgainstCOVID19\nPlease contact Recreation Supervisor\, Andrew Hubbard at ahubbard@sanramon.ca.gov or (925) 973-3231 for any questions or additional information.\nONLINE REGISTRATION

DESCRIPTION:This spectacular course near historic Murphy’s\, CA\, offers a challenge for all ability levels. \nSince 1998 our 1/2 Marathon trophies have been dedicated to Ernie Klann.  Ernie started the first Hernia Hill 1/2 Marathon in 1988.  We are proud to have been associated to continue “his” race. \nCourse~\nAll distances are beautifully scenic with hills and finish with a “dash” through the ‘Wine Cave’.\n5K – has one fun hill prior to the finish line\n10K – Includes a dash up the finishing hill twice\, so you get the punishment twice.\nHalf Marathon – utilizes Red Hill Road with a long and very pretty run through the California Hill’…beautiful and golden at this time of year. \nRegistrations are non-refundable and non-transferable \nPost Race Festivities~\nLunch sponsored and hosted by On Your Mark.  Included in entry fee.  Available to non-runner adults for $10.00 and children $7.00 \nWine tasting\, raffle (must be present to win) and award ceremony. \nAwards~\n5K & 10K – Medals to top 3 winners in all age groups\nHalf Marathon – Trophies to overall winners.  Medals to top 3 finishers in each age group including Clydesdale division (men over 185 lbs\, women over 150 lbs.) \nDay of Schedule~\n6:30 a.m. – Check-in and race day registration opens\n8:00 a.m. – All events start\n10:30 a.m. – Lunch\, raffle and award ceremony. \nONLINE REGISTRATION
